Affect my point of view

The book of 1984 it didn’t really affected my point of view of life because I don’t live in a dystopia world. I don’t think that dystopia worlds still exit today. In this dystopia world a lot of bad things happened. I don’t want to live in a world where everything is fake, where they change the news so it matches with the fake things that they do. Also, If I will live in a dystopia world I will not be a happy man because you cannot do what you want, for example Winston want to write a diary but the ministry doesn’t let him. Something that I will do if I lived in a dystopia world is like to go and work for the government or for some ministry and to learn all the secrets that they have and try to destroy them with the other citizens that don’t know how the good world is but when I show them they will also want to live well like other people. This can also affect some people because they can be afraid that their country or their life will become into a dystopia world or not just that maybe they can also be afraid that all your life has been a dystopia world. In this book a lot of bad things happened for example that if you break the rules they will take all your belongings and that its pretty bad and that its something that don’t happen in Mexico so that’s why it is good not to live in a dystopia world.

In conclusion, this essay make me thing a lot about the world and in my world, it make me compare about my life with the life of the book. I have a pretty good time writing this.

Character

Hello, my name is Winston Smith. I live in a dystopian world. Im not sure what’s my age but probably around 39 years old. I am married to Katherine and I love her but actually I have a lover, her name is Julia she is from the outer party and she loves to break the rules, she also wants revenge from the party so I think that I am going to have a very good history with her. I work as a clerk in the ministry of truth. I have a pretty difficult job in here. I need to rewrite the historical documents and make them match with the present, I need to read newspapers and edit them, I need to erase the unpersons but actually my real job is to change the current party line. I hate my work because everything in this society is a lie. I don’t like where I live, I don’t like my society, I don’t like to being in a dystopia world, I don’t like to not know my exact age.

My predication with Winston Smith is that he is going to start making everything possible to destroy Big Brother by starting making my job in a wrong way so the people start realizing that all their life is a lie. Maybe im going to get captured by the party or maybe im going to change the dystopian world and make it better and I don’t know, maybe be a hero that it has been my dream my whole life.

In conclusion, I like to write a lot about Winston, because he is the main character in the book and without him the book will not be the same. It make me remind me about everything about the book and it helps me a lot to know more about it.

2nd Blogpost

Today I am going to write about how do language and culture contribute to the formation of our identity.

I think that my culture and my language help me a lot in many things about my life, I am a Jewish person and i like to be Jewish. Firstly, I like to be a Jewish because it is a small community so I know must of the people from my age. Also, in my school I have been with my same generation since I was 2 years old that I enter to kinder garden so I know them from a long time ago. Being part of this culture, helps you in the world because it is important to learn how to speak or read Hebrew. Spanish also it is one of the most important languages in the world because there are a lot of countries that speak Spanish like Mexico. Being Mexican is also very cool, for example when you see in the news some things that happened in the world cup, almost all the crazy and funny things were made by Mexicans, also everywhere you go it is very probably that you see Mexican people so it also helps me to be more social in my life.  The language and culture helps us in our identity because when you go to the synagogue everybody are praying in Spanish and it looks very good because the people that don’t know how to read Hebrew, try to make it and reach it. Sometimes it is also difficult to be part of this culture because there is a lot of racism. I think that to make this blog and this writing it is very important because it make me think a lot about my life in the present and my life in the past.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
